Child abuse is a terrible thing. No child should have to suffer the trauma that accompanies this awful deed. Sadly, churches are among the favorite targets of predators. In an effort to make our church as safe as possible and for the protection of those ministering as well as those being ministered to, we have policies must be adhered to by all paid staff and volunteers involved in ministries to anyone under 18 years of age. These policies include but are not limited to:

• An application process for anyone interested in working with children.
• A criminal background check.
• A vested interest. All staff and volunteers are members of the church or known to the church for a set amount of time.
• A set mandate on reporting alleged abuse.

It is unfortunate that these things have to be thought about, but your child's safety is our #1 concern.
